Is it just me or,,,

So you've all seen those "Feed the World" and "Sponsor a Child" commercials right? You get to see very dark skinned children who look like they haven't eaten in weeks. Their faces are dirty, some are crying. As the narrator says, they wander the streets, looking for food blah blah blah.

Well the first thing that bothers me, or makes me go WTF is their teeth! I brush my teeth two, three times a day and these kids teeth are whiter then mine. You'd think a child who has eaten nothing nutritious and even garbage all their life would have rotten teeth if they had any at all! Are these kids actors or am I way off on the condition of teeth in third world countries? Any dentists in the house?

Ok the other thing. When you donate or sponsor a child, you get a free gift. WTF? Shouldn't every available penny go to helping these people? Why are they giving out free gifts? Don't these free gifts cost anything to make? Seriously, instead of giving me a t-shirt telling anyone who can read that I donated to help the needy, send the damn shirt to these people! If you watch the commercials, you'll notice they could use clothes. WTF.

To recap, third world countries apparently don't need toothpaste or toothbrushes but DO need t-shirts!

So who do you blame for this one?

LOS ANGELES, California (CNN) -- It was described as one of the most grisly scenes Los Angeles police had ever encountered: the bodies of five young children and their parents, all shot to death, in two upstairs rooms of the family's home. A photo on Ervin Lupoe's Facebook page shows his wife and five children. "The reaction on their faces was not a pretty sight," neighbor Jasmine Gomez told CNN. "There was an officer who came out of the house throwing up." But even more incomprehensible to some was the story that emerged after the bodies were found Tuesday: A father who, in a last desperate act after he and his wife were fired from their jobs, killed all six family members before turning the gun on himself. In a letter faxed to Los Angeles television station KABC before his suicide, Ervin Antonio Lupoe blamed his former employer for the deaths, detailing his grievance against Kaiser Permanente's West Los Angeles Medical Center, where he and his wife, Ana, had worked as technicians. Lupoe, 40, claimed the couple was being investigated for "misrepresentation of our employment to an outside agency for the benefit to ourselves's (sic), childcare." He said the initial interview was held on December 19, and when he reported for work on December 23, "I was told by my administrator ... that 'You should not even have bothered to come to work today. You should have blown your brains out.'" Lupoe wrote in the fax, "after a horrendous ordeal my wife felt it better to end our lives and why leave our children in someone else's hands ... we have no job and 5 children under 8 years with no place to go. So here we are." (click for full story) When the going gets tough, the uh,,,weak slaughter their entire family? I'm pretty sure that's not how it goes. Seriously, WTF were these people thinking? "Gee honey, times are so hard, we might even be in some legal trouble. I know! We will not only off ourselves but take our five innocent children with us!" WTF, I am not a religious person but if there really is a hell, these two people are V.I.P. and at the head of the line for eternal torture. An eternity of having their faces slowly eaten off by rats while never losing consciousness but feeling every nerve ending should do the trick. If you read the story, you'll have noticed his boss told him he should blow his brains out. He is blaming the administrator for this horrific act. Yeah, that'll teach him for telling me to blow my brains out,,, I don't know about you guys but over the years I have had worse things suggested to me. Not only did I not take the suggestion, I harmed no one, not even a small animal! We all go through tough times at some point in our lives, how many of you gave serious thought to committing suicide and taking six of your closest friends or family with you? If any of you raised a hand,,,SEEK HELP! Now I've watched this story being reported on by a few different people (news stations), there are some with the mentality to blame the economy and even Bush on this senseless crime. WTF people? These two idiots planned this for quite a while. Heck they even wrote letters and a will. It wasn't like they were so distraught that on impulse they went into a rage and shot their five children in the head. They had time to think about when it would be done and how. WTF PREMEDITATED murder anyone? So what do you think? Am I wrong in my disgust at these two monsters for taking the lives of their children for selfish reasons? Is the economy so bad that these acts can be forgiven and excused? Should I have some compassion for these murderers and the slaughter of five defenseless children? WTF.
